The 2011 Kotei page has been updated with the final map of the Destroyer’s advance towards the heart of the Scorpion provinces. Find out the last locations under attack this season after the jump, and check out this website in the coming weeks for the grand finale of the Destroyer War.
Kotei Auckland, New Zealand – Silent Village (SC19) – This small village was the only one in the region blighted by Bishamon that managed to continue producing food even during the height of the curse.
The industrious people here did so because of their piety: they took a vow of silence for one year after the blight, and no living soul within the village broke it
Kotei San José, CA – Kyuden Ashinagabachi (M5) – Former home to the Wasp Clan and present home to the Tsuruchi family, Kyuden Ashinagabachi was a former Scorpion castle, and the Scorpion have never forgiven the insult. It is placed high in the mountains, however, and siege is virtually impossible.
Kotei Sao Paulo, Brazil – Kagoki (SC17) – This village has the distinction of being the most fertile food-producing settlement in all of Scorpion holdings. The surrounding rice paddies are some of the best in all of Rokugan.
Kotei Kansas City, KS – Bishamon’s Curse (SC18) - This small area is generally regarded as the site where Bishamon, the Fortune of Strength, set foot in the mortal realm before cursing the most fertile plains of the Scorpion Clan some years ago. The region has partially recovered, but many wonder if it will ever fully recover.
Kotei Madrid, Spain – Shosuro Actor Academy (SC24) – This is the training facility for the legendary Shosuro Actors, widely regarded as the finest practitioners of their craft in Rokugan. The training is more intense than outsiders know, however, and involves lengthy deceptions that can last months or even years.
