The time that has passed between the conclusion of the Destroyer War and the onset of the events in Forgotten Legacy was filled with wondrous and remarkable events, most of which have as yet not been chronicled. During this time, however, one mortal soul committed acts of such a distinguishing nature that, upon death, his soul ascended to the Celestial Heavens by Imperial decree and he took his place among the Fortunes. His deeds and his life are now the stuff that legends are made of.
The winner of the Second Chance tournament at GenCon 2011 may select one personality affiliated with the clan he played during the event who was dead at the conclusion of the Celestial Edition arc (a list of potential candidates will be provided by the Story Team, although it is possible to select a personality not on the list who had an “on-screen” death during the Celestial arc). This personality will become a minor Fortune in the cosmology of Rokugan.
The winner may also select the area in which the Fortune holds sway. For example, Bishamon is the Fortune of Strength, so the newly created Fortune will require a title that will be supplied by the winner (upon Story Team’s Approval).
The Second Chance tournament will take place Saturday Aug 6th and Aug 7th and is open to anyone who didn’t qualify for the GenCon 2011 Main Event (through the various qualifiers held on Aug 4th and 5th or through a GenCon seed).
