Usagi Seki, the Untouchable
The members of the Hare Clan are known for their athleticism and how they incorporate it into their fighting style. Surely none in history have celebrated it so much as Usagi Seki. Although yet young, Seki has embraced the nature of his clan, and despite his relative inexperience in the ways of war, he is well known for never having been touched by any foe he has ever faced. His prodigious athletic abilities have earned him a reputation among many bushi families, and his easy-going and sociable manner have ensured that this reputation has not engendered resentment. Popular as he is among bushi for his laughing nature, Seki is even more well-regarded among young women; the combination of his youthful exuberance, his attractive features, and his charismatic nature have made him something of a sensation in the few courts he has attended.
Toku Saiga, the Metal Storm
Toku Saiga’s father was a ronin from the Mantis Clan, a wave man who spent years in service to the Monkey and was ultimately rewarded with the love of a virtuous Monkey Clan samurai-ko. Love was not as uncommon among the Monkey, and the two were wed. Saiga is the result, and he embraced the love of the chain weapons that his father had mastered, and Saiga’s gifts exceed them. Despite his mastery, however, Saiga’s temperament has always been poor, something uncharacteristic of a Monkey Clan samurai. Perhaps it is bitterness over his father’s status as a ronin, or perhaps he resents the disdain so many bushi have toward his chosen fighting style. Regardless, Saiga seeks to prove something, perhaps to himself or to others, and has embraced the opportunity to serve the greater Minor Clan Alliance as an ambassador to the Great Clans as a means of finally accomplishing this.
