Suzume Shindo, the Final Blade
The name of Suzume Shindo borders on that of a legend among those who are familiar with the state and the activities of the Minor Clans. Other members of the Sparrow Clan do not speak of her, and she seems more at ease among other Minor Clans than among her own. What is known is that she is an enigmatic duelist who allegedly practices a unique style that could shame even the most celebrated Kakita or Mirumoto duelist, although certainly some of that is hyperbole. Shindo’s reputation is only enhanced due to her scarcity, for she eschews all but the most remote courts, and instead chooses to travel the Empire’s least known roads and villages, enjoying the company of Rokugan’s common folk while obscured in a traveling cloak and a basket hat.
Kasuga Aizawa, the Razor’s Edge
With an easy smile and a quick wit, Kasuga Aizawa embodies all that is celebrated and despised about the Tortoise Clan. His skill with commerce and money is something that most honorable samurai despise, but that those such as the Yasuki envy greatly. His ship,The Razor, is known in virtually every port in Rokugan and the Colonies, and perhaps beyond that as well. Aizawa plays the cash-strapped fool often, but most suspect he has wealth beyond the imagining of most stored away somewhere.
