The Celestial Edition Mega Game begins only a few months after the launch of Imperial Gift 2 and Celestial Edition. With the Empire threatened like never before, every additional Imperial Assembly member gives more hope for survival. There will be no better time to teach somebody new how to play, and introduce them to a world that has been impassioning and entertaining for nearly 15 years.

A special edition of the Imperial Herald containing a complete rules section will ship with the Imperial Gift 2. Combined with the design of the set, which is oriented toward helping new players understand the game, and Imperial Gift 2 represents a great starting point for any new player.

Veteran players are not excluded either, and they will find cards to suit many tournament-level decks, and all completely free!

So make sure your local store has either joined AEG’s Stronghold Store Program (contact customersupport@alderac.com for details), or is ordering Celestial Edition, to ensure that you get Imperial Gift 2 absolutely for free. IG2 will ship with Celestial Edition, making June 5th a bonanza day for L5R players everywhere (though international customers may have to wait a few days depending on their location).

On the 17th of April, we will give Imperial Assembly members the opportunity to change two of the most fundamental things about your involvement in Legend of the Five Rings:

Your Clan affiliation
Your Stronghold Store affiliation

These decisions aren’t to be taken lightly, but the coming Celestial Edition arc and Mega Game will demand loyalty and complete resolve. Now is the time to decide where you will stand.

You will be able to change your Clan and Stronghold Store affiliation through your Imperial Assembly account until June 15th. After that, those details will be set in stone as you prepare to weather the coming storm.

The Legend of the Five Rings Team

In order to participate fully in the Mega Game, you will have to be an Imperial Assembly member and have Internet access. There are major aspects of the game that require neither of these things, but trust us when we say you will not want to miss out on how IA members will be able to influence the outcome of the Celestial Edition story arc.

On the 17th of April, we will formally request you to update your Imperial Assembly membership details online. We will need:

Your name
Your postal address
Your email address
Your cell or mobile phone number (optional)

We will also have further instructions for you pertaining to Facebook, so if you don’t have an account there already, it might be a good time to set one up.

The Legend of the Five Rings Team

Imperial Gift 2 will be available from this June onward from your local Stronghold Store (from July onward for certain customers outside the US; please check with your local store for details), and from any game store that has ordered Celestial Edition. Featuring two complete 81-card decks, as well as other, never-before-seen cards, Imperial Gift 2 is a complete Legend of the Five Rings play experience.

Designed as a learn-to-play set, but with a keen eye toward the Celestial Edition environment, Imperial Gift 2 represents an ideal teaching tool, and is the best way to start – or continue – playing Legend of the Five Rings. A special edition of the Imperial Herald will ship to stores with Imperial Gift 2, featuring a pullout section containing all the rules necessary to play Legend of the Five Rings, as well as a special article on the Imperial Gift 2 itself.

And that’s not all. The next L5R Mega Game starts in October this year. With Imperial Assembly membership and Stronghold Store levels playing key roles, now is the best time to teach somebody new how to play. A single grain of rice may tip the balance as the Empire struggles for its very survival.

So go to your local game store and make sure they are ordering Celestial Edition. When your free cards arrive, take the time to introduce somebody new to the mythical, mystical world of Rokugan. The Empire needs every able hand, now more than ever.

The Clan of the Month promotion is here! You will now have the chance to support your local Dojo Days store and get great new promos all at the same time. Dojo Days stores will receive packs of four promo cards for each Clan over the next several months. These packs will contain one each of four cards.
