The next installment of the L5R 4th Edition Designer Diaries is now up at ENworld.org. The link is a direct link to the article. In about a about week a number of sets of Temptations will be auctioned on Ebay with 100% of the proceeds going to the Red Cross Haitian Relief efforts. We will also auction the right to run a Winners Choice event. There will be a few restrictions on running the event, that will be written in the auction. When the auctions go live we will add a link to them here on our news, and in our AEG Forums.

What has become known as “Suicide L5R” is a format played using only boosters. Each player in the event starts with a single booster, adding to it by winning games. The rules can be found on our official Rules site for those who may not be aware of it. But to save you the time, the rules are also posted after the break.
With the Path of the Destroyer cards-for-koku list AEG is changing the way koku orders are submitted. On February 1st, when you log into to your Imperial Assembly account, a new “koku” link will take you to a page displaying a list of all cards available for koku. You will then select the card or cards you want and the total will be automatically deducted from your koku bank. When you are ready to submit your order, you will see the processing fee and be asked for your credit card or Paypal information. Once entered, you will submit your order, and AEG will ship within 7 business days. More information on the new system after the break.
With The Harbinger you are going to see some new cards appearing in your Common slots as you open your boosters. We hope that these will increase the ease of play and enjoyment of your L5R experience.
If, like me (Bryan Reese), you started playing L5R a long time ago you will have been in the habit of using many and varied tokens for all sorts different attachments and personalities created in the game – by regions, events, strategies, personalities, spells, items, and holdings. What we are making an effort to do now is create some really good high quality cards that players can use as proxies for these created cards to make the game clearer for everyone.
