First Leg Temptations

As we announced at the beginning of the Race for the Throne, any Clan dominating two Spheres of Influence at the end of a leg will be offered a Temptation. If they take the Temptation, they will have their highest Sphere in the next leg cut in half.

We are announcing the Temptation now because we want to ensure that all players understand the gravity of what they are playing for. It is essential that you be a registered member of your Clan in the Assembly to take advantage of the awesome prizes we will be offering in each leg of the Race.

Only players registered with their Clan in the Imperial Assembly by April 23rd will be allowed to vote on accepting the Temptation for the First Leg and only they will receive it should they choose to take it.

Due to this, and due to the fact that French and Spanish Assembly Members did have the original opportunity to lock in Clan affiliation, we will be extending the deadline by 10 days. We want to stress the importance of getting the information to AEG or Millennium Distribution (France and Spain) so that you are eligible for the prize at the end of the First Leg. The announcement of the First Leg Temptations brings with it some changes to the Race. Because we are revealing the Temptation to help stress the importance of signing up for the Imperial Assembly, it changes the balance of power that the boons offer. We want as level a field as possible and we want this Temptation to be earned (if you want it that is!). So starting next weekend (April 13, 2007) with the remaining 25 Kotei events selecting boons will still earn the story prize, but no additional Race points. Previously earned points will stand. Now that players know the Temptation prize we feel that it is only fair that we do not allow Military Victory Points to effect other Spheres. We will be happy to address your questions about this on Our Forum.

So now you probably want to know what the Temptations are for this leg.

An Important Story Effect Just for the Clan - A story point will be tailored to the Clan that is in the lead, and offered to them. We can’t tell you right now what it will be for your Clan, but it will be… tempting, to say the least. Oh, and a reminder, if you are considered to be dead last in the Race you also get a story prize… but not a good one.
