Earning Points in the Second Leg of the Race for the Throne
The many ways you may earn points for your Clan are listed below. Note that these are available during the the Second Leg of the Race for the Throne, running June 1 - September 30, 2007. When emailing in submissions, please use the respective links below, as they provide proper Subject lines for submission as well as legal text when necessary.

* This item will earn one Clan 2 points in Economy and another Clan 4 points in Politics. The largest verifiable deal between the players of two Clans. Koku for something else (story consideration, items, or cards, etc.). The Clan that pays the Koku earns the Politics Points. The Clan that gets the Koku earns the Economy points (Plus the bonus for being able to send them in). To present your deal for consideration, send it to race@alderac.com. It must include contact information (phone and email) for both parties.
** Cumulative. If Ian sends in 1400 koku for various cards and elects it to count for Lion, and Barbara sends in 1600 koku for various cards and elects it to count for Lion, then the Lion earn 1 point. Additional koku may be sent and pledged beyond the cost of your redemption selections. Note: Additional Koku pledged will not result in additional redemption cards. NOTE: Only Koku counts towards this total. You may still send XP, Ghost Rock, etc. for redemption purposes, but only Koku itself will earn points for your Clan.

** Send us a cool thing. We don’t care what it is as long as it’s fun and different and has something to do with Samurai, L5R, or where you are from and how that ties into gaming. We want to be surprised. AEG staff will vote on the coolest, funniest, or most Clan loyal item sent to AEG during the second leg.

**** Alive or dead, common, uncommon, rare or promo. The Clans that send in the most copies of a single personality will gain the following: Top 3 personalities will have a story written about them (If they are dead then past deeds) and top three Clans will gain points in Spirit. We suggest you decide together at your Clan sites before you send in cards. Experienced personalities do count as the same personalities and their non-exp as long as the name of the card has not changed. If a card’s name has changed, such as Daidoji Rekai and Daigotsu Rekai, they count as two different personalities. “Soul of” personalities do not count as the same personality. For instance, the Soul of Hida Amoro does not count as Hida Amoro.

* Voted on by players of event (staff at GenCon). You must provide a decklist and written summary of why it is cool before event beings. It must also be the deck you play in the event.
** Just why is your Clan the best? Date TBA.
*** Send in your best Clan personality card ideas to this email. Only personality cards for the nine Great Clans will be considered. Only new, non-experienced personalities will be considered. The top five cards will be playtested and featured in Honor’s Veil. Each contestant may submit three characters, and they must be from the Clan which you wish to earn the points. All submissions are due by July 10, 2007.
