Earning Points in the Third Leg of the Race for the Throne
The many ways you may earn points for your Clan are listed below. Note that these are available during the the Third Leg of the Race for the Throne, running October 1 - December 31, 2007. When emailing in submissions, please use the respective links below, as they provide proper Subject lines for submission as well as legal text when necessary.

* Cumulative. If Ian sends in 1400 koku for various cards and elects it to count for Lion, and Barbara sends in 1600 koku for various cards and elects it to count for Lion, then the Lion earn 1 point. Additional koku may be sent and pledged beyond the cost of your redemption selections. Note: Additional Koku pledged will not result in additional redemption cards. NOTE: Only Koku counts towards this total. You may still send XP, Ghost Rock, etc. for redemption purposes, but only Koku itself will earn points for your Clan.
** Players may cast one vote for an item of economic importance to Rokugan presented when we launch the Emerald and Jade Champions set. Votes will be made at the time of purchase at the AEG store. The Clans with the most votes by December 15 will win this contest.

* Can’t get to a convention? Send us a picture of or your play group in Clan attire or garb. Yes, it’s OK if we have already seen you at one of the shows. We will vote on the best pictures, group or individual and the winners will earn points for their Clan. Send your submissions to race@alderac.com. Please include the Clan you wish your points to go toward. Clan Attire Bonus - Winning entries will be worth one additional point if the pictures sent in are taken in a game or comic book store.
** Create an awesome new Oni for the L5R RPG! Due by October 31, 2007. Email submissions to race@alderac.com. Use Creatures of Rokugan as a template. Winners will be used in the L5R RPG and possibly even the CCG.
*** Alive or dead, common, uncommon, rare or promo. The Clans that send in the most copies of a single personality will gain the following: Top 3 personalities will have a story written about them (If they are dead then past deeds) and top three Clans will gain points in Spirit. We suggest you decide together at your Clan sites before you send in cards. Experienced personalities do count as the same personalities and their non-exp as long as the name of the card has not changed. If a card’s name has changed, such as Daidoji Rekai and Daigotsu Rekai, they count as two different personalities. “Soul of” personalities do not count as the same personality. For instance, the Soul of Hida Amoro does not count as Hida Amoro.

* Voted on by players of event (staff at Euro Champs). You must provide a decklist and written summary of why it is cool before event beings. It must also be the deck you play in the event.
** Write flavor text for the card or card set put up on the web during the 3rd leg of the Race. The Story Team will vote and best flavor text will go on the card and the top 5 will earn points for your Clan in the Race.
*** Thelionclan.com will host this contest. Write your best treatise on war in Rokugan to celebrate the release of Masters of War! You may write from your Clan’s perspective or a general overview. The best will receive points and the winner will receive a free copy of Masters of War for the L5R RPG!
**** Each store in the Dojo Days program will receive one certificate for a Sensei Vote. They will award the certificate to the player who supports the game and community best in their store. The players may send this in to AEG for a special thank you from us and to earn points in the Race. Clans will earn points based on number of players from that Clan who are selected by their retailer. Certificate is being sent with Dawn of the Ogres kits.

* The Assembly Drive is on!! The Clans with the most new subscribers each month will gain points in the Spirit for bringing new players into your Clan. This is also important for Politics points as your clan will gain Politics points if they are the Clan with the most new stores with 3 players aligned to their Clan. For the months of Oct/Nov/Dec. 5/3/1 points awarded each month.
** Break out your cameras! Post your L5R short films on YouTube and send a link to them to race@alderac.com. They can be any subject, funny, serious, ultra-violent or thought provoking. We’ll be judging on all aspects from production quality to acting (or animation if that is the case). Most of all have fun with this one!
*** Carried over from the 2nd leg. Send your verified slips from your blood bank to AEG by Nov 30. Clans with the most donations (Max 1 per week per player) will win the points in the Bleed for your Clan contest. Any donation slips done during the 2nd Leg dates may also be sent in, due to the postponement of the competition.
