Samurai Fund
The Samurai Fund is a reward for qualifying for and attending the Samurai Championships in 2008. This fund represents the actions of the players and will grow over time. Anyone who qualifies for the fund will receive a share of the fund at the Samurai Championships. The fund will be divided based on how many qualifying players attend.
Current Fund
AEG will be priming the fund with $10,000. The 2008 Kotei season will continue to add to the Fund. Other events around the world are getting involved to add to the Fund, including the Test of the Topaz Champion. If you want to help grow the Fund with your events, please contact us. There is much more to Legend of the Five Rings than just winning at the CCG, so you will see we have many ways for people to qualify outside of just their card-playing talents! The Samurai Fund is directly tied to the Race for the Throne and we will be updating the options for players as the schedule for each Leg is revealed.
Below is a preliminary list of ways you can qualify. Each Leg of the Race will “activate” certain ways to qualify.

Fine Print:
- The Samurai Fund will be evenly distributed among all qualifying players who are in attendance at the 2008 Samurai Championships.
- Any player may only receive one share of the Fund. Any player who qualifies for more than one method of obtaining a share will concede the second and further methods.
- The share will only be paid on site to that individual at the Samurai Championships. Proxies will not be allowed. If a qualifying player does not attend, he/she forfeits their share, which will be distributed evenly among those qualifying players in attendance.
- The current amount of the Samurai Fund will be maintained on www.Samuraiedition.com at all times.
- Recipients of any portion of the Fund will be required to fill out necessary paperwork on site before being presented with their portion (yes, it’s paperwork, but it can save you and us a lot of trouble).
- Applicable laws of the state or nation that you are from, or in which the event is held will be strictly adhered to.
- In the event that it is necessary, due to size and/or unexpected attendance at the event, 10% of the Samurai Fund may be used for the event venue, entertainment, and non-product prizes.
